Contemporary Elegancy -- The Analysis of MING MA The Womenswear Designer Brand
MING MA completed both BA and MA fashion courses at Central Saint Martins, UK. MING was sponsored by renowned Lane Crawford Scholarship and mentored by Professor Louise Wilson in the MA Fashion course. During the course, Ming has collaborated with Textile Designer Anita Hirlekar for her AW14 collection showed at London Fashion Week. Also he was awarded as the winner of CSM x J.Crew project. His works have been featured in the worldwide publications such as The Gentlewoman, Vogue Italia, SSAW, VISION, 1 GRANARY etc. In 2018, MING MA established his own label in Shanghai. Capitalising on his strengths in 3D cutting and draping, often juxtaposing modernity with traditional craftsmanship for a fresh take on designs. MING MA focused on balancing the unique sculptural silhouettes with effortless sensibility: aiming to revive the elegant ease of the contemporary women.
