The 39th session of Spinexpo Shanghai was held in Hangzhou during August 28 to 30. The first part of the report focuses on different kinds of yarn in the exhibition. And this part turns our eyes to innovative and creative stitches. Three-dimensional ottoman stitch and fine-gauged stitch are noteworthy the most. The rich tactile layers of ottoman stitch are combined with fancy yarns develop Chanel-inspired pieces. Multiple presentations of floral patterns are worth reference. Fine-gauged stitching of viscose materials expresses a light and fresh atmosphere.

As the largest and most influential fashion expo in Asia, China International Fashion Fair (CHIC) has always been a comprehensive resource platform which has integrated various functions such as trade negotiation, channel development, resource integration, international cooperation, trend release, cross-industry cooperation, etc. Since its establishment in 1993, CHIC has been constantly developing dynamically and closely tied up with the fashion industry. This 2020 Autumn CHIC fully displays the vitality of the post-coronavirus market, seen in styles, patterns and accessories.

The 27th Playtime Paris opens in January 2020 and celebrates its 10th anniversary. This time the exhibition has a theme of "BE HAPPY!" Sweetness, vintage and a series of sustainable designs become the key points. Strong color-blocking is combined with saturated colors to present a new appearance, showing diversified styles such as novel, avant-garde and environmentally-friendly style.

The development and blends of recycled, biological and natural fibers are the core of innovation, which also continue to influence the look of lace. The unbleached original color and undyed quality sense are prevailing. The highly functional seamless craft upgrades the silhouette of underwear and swimwear. The mesh fabric is transparent, catering to the theme of wearing underwear outside. The minimalist style is quite suitable for high summer. Bold color-blocking and metal colors are ideal for underwear, swimwear and accessories. Bright colors and new animal prints are complementary for each other. The simple florals with a design sense are fresh and pure. Twigs and leaves will lead the fashion trend. Modern geometric patterns are quite fit for knitted and woven fabrics. The 90th Pitti Immagine Bimbo is held in Florence on January 16th to 18th, 2020. For 45 years, it has been the global fashion center for kidswear. During the three-day period, shows of KidzFizz and Apartment, kids' labs and forum all display and enrich Pitti Bimbo. The theme of "Speak for The Earth" runs through the fair. On the catwalk, streets turn into frescoes full of kids' demands for green, inclusiveness and a livable space. Kids hold up slogans such as "OUR PLANET, OUR FUTURE", "THERE IS NO PLANET B", walk through the streets and begin to express themselves.

The A/W 20/21 Première Vision affirms the desire for profound change, and offers fashion solutions that promise protection. The theme emphasizes the connection between imagination and sustainability. Nature incarnates the ecological guide line. Novel textures are extracted from luxuriant styles inspired by mixed vegetation. safety, environmental protection and functionality are integrated to strengthen ecological and digital awareness. Noctilucence, functionality and flowers are decorated in charming night woods and jungles full of playing animals, which brings wonderful, dreamlike and dazzling recycled fabrics. Abstract geometry glints in the fantastic metallic sheen. Light texture reshapes the ecological responsibility. Natural textures create soft and simple new nature, and bring five themes: material resistance, transformation, fantasy of the night, decoration and new nature. These will be displayed in fabrics below.

The Premiere Vision Paris is still the top large-scale textile fabrics exhibition in the world. The A/W 20/21 Designs exhibition is open in September. The pattern area in the Premiere Vision Designs breaks the limits of seasons, changes the previous color tones of the bright summer color palette, releases the gloomy and dark sense of autumn, and stresses the relations between imagination and the nature. The shadows and flowers from mixing plants wake up the soft female style. The natural texture, marbling and dots explore the sustainable and innovative application. The creative designs like the new wax print, folk pattern and oil paints can be the innovation advantages to overcome the industry adversity in the future.

In this A/W 20/21 trade show, sustainable blended degradable high polymers replace synthetic fibres. Yarns meeting Roica's global recycling standards are key goods. Shape-wear lingerie, swimwear and athleisure wear feature more advanced techniques. Eight-direction stretch, antibacterial property and chlorine resistance enhance the performance of garments. Jacquard knits with light and dark tone are combined with raised patterns to create a 3D effect. Pointelle, floral trims and raised patterns are full of retro daisies.

As for the visitors of Fashion SZ Show, shopkeepers in malls and shopping centers increased dramatically. Brand owners, ODM and OEM companies account for 1/5 of the total number of visitors. They mainly went for discovering latest textiles and designs. Agents and franchisees selected more personalized and unconventional garments for the entire season.

Pitti Uomo's Guest Nation Project includes China this year. The summery theme is Pitti Special Click, and Sergio Colantuoni was in charge of the design of this show and explored the new direction. Polygonal patterns and bright colors are combined to be striking and youthful, echoing what Pitti Uomo is supporting.

Premiere Vision Paris has been held in Feb. The 2020 S/S trend is introduced by sports themes. Skateboarders were performing at the exhibition to show the noticeable prints and patterns. Tropical prints are perfectly combined with the sports style. Tropical fruits prints like citrus are refreshing and vibrant; the distorted arrangement of geometrical patterns is ingenious; beautiful hibiscuses are presented in two bold colors; illusionary elements are added in vector flowers, which looks vital.

In 2020 S/S Interfilière Paris, innovation and environment protection is still key. Maximalism is eye-catching on fabrics.

At 19/20 A/W Premiere Vision Paris, original printed and jacquard fabrics are prominent, and floral patterns and geometric shapes are highlighted. Knitting and overprinting are delicate and attractive. Artistic and novel materials provide future trends.

The 2019 S/S Première Vision Paris gathers many printing studios from all over the world and presents the lately designs. This year, the exhibition was held in Paris, the world's fashion capital, the buyers can have more time to visit each studio and pick up the most innovative printed fabric, jacquard fabric and uragiri fabric.

Following on from what was regarded as a challenging year for Intertextile, a renewed positivity rang out across the first of 2017's shows for S/S 18. Playing host to over 3,300 exhibitors, representatives from some 26 countries and regions gathered in the show's International Hall, which included a Milano Unica showcase of Italian mills, French- and German-specific zones, as well as the Asian Pavilions that brought together those from Korea, Taiwan, India and Pakistan, and Chinese exhibitors, all grouped together by the nature of their offering. Within the show itself, distinguishable zones made sourcing more focused for show-goers, with areas that included Premium Wool Zone, Beyond Denim, Verve for Design, All About Sustainability, Functional Lab and Accessories Vision. Meanwhile, S/S 18's Trend Forum was curated by Ornella Bignami of Elementi Moda.

The new materials spotted in the trade show feature contrasting textures, innovative fibers, mixed patterns, bold brights and glossy technical fabrics. They drive the R&D directions for A/W 18/19 and echo the four themes forecasted by POP & ULB.
