Pitti Immagine Filati, the key international trade fair for the world of yarns and knitwear, returns to its original location at the Fortezza Da Basso in Florence from 29 June to 1 July 2022.

The 102nd edition of Pitti Uomo taook place in Fortezza da Basso from June 14, 2022 to June 17, displaying Spring/Summer 2023 collections. This historic menswear trade fair has returned to the right track. Compared with the edition in last June(338 exhibitors) and this January(540 exhibitors), the latest edition was an exhibition of 671 brands, including 100 new comers.

At Pitti Filati 90 (Stazione Leopolda, Florence, February 2-4, 2022), the Pitti Studios project continues and expands. Combining digital technology and creativity, Pitti Studios can create, starting with just 30 cm of thread, an animated and 3D version of the finished garment, worn by an avatar in a real virtual fashion show, set in a digital space created for the occasion and inspired by the Stazione Leopolda. A first step into the immersive universe of the metaverse and the future of the industry.

Different from the past offline exhibition form, the 88th Pitti Filati is presented on the digital platform Pitti Connect to display the S/S 2022 collection because of the epidemic. Influenced by the transition of consumers' life habit and consumption concept, the development of yarn and knit cloth pays more attention to the safety, comfort and versatility. Environmental protection and sustainable development concepts keep influencing the yarn development. Anti-bacterial and anti-microbial yarn needs creation and extension. Natural fibers like cotton and linen are the key to summer, and the application of fancy yarn is also important.

The A/W 20/21 Premiere Vision Paris just ends. As the top exhibition of materials and accessories , it attracts 240 design studios from 26 countries, supplies more than 100,000 items and covers materials and accessories from all fields. And the business leisure fabric for menswear is one important kind of fabrics. The business menswear fabrics from this A/W 20/21 Premiere Vision Paris mainly highlight the flowing design of men. The key trends are the light and smooth texture, fine and warm weave, and the improvement of the classic pattern. In addition, the sustainable ecological environmental protection and the digitization concept rise in the fabrics.

Pitti Uomo's Guest Nation Project includes China this year. The summery theme is Pitti Special Click, and Sergio Colantuoni was in charge of the design of this show and explored the new direction. Polygonal patterns and bright colors are combined to be striking and youthful, echoing what Pitti Uomo is supporting.
