A/W 24/25 Shanghai Showroom -- The Analysis of Womenswear Trade Show
On March 25th, the Shanghai 24/25 autumn and winter ordering fair gradually came to an end. Ontmeshow revolves around the core concept of using new language and exploring new environments, gathering 157 brands and launching the YOU TALENTS Discovery Program to bring cutting-edge design power to buyers. This season, the scale of Shitang has narrowed by 1/3 compared to the previous year, with a total exhibition period of 7% fewer professional visitors. The proportion of new buyers has decreased by 42%, compared to the peak period of 65%. The theme of this year's MODE is "Morning Fashion · Rongying East", with 11 showrooms in hand, bringing together nearly 300 brands and enterprises to participate in the exhibition. Overseas brands account for nearly half of the total, an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year. In the current market downturn, where buyer stores and designer brands are facing a major reshuffle, the market's test of brands is becoming more stringent. Starting from the previous season, brands with strong supply chains and a focus on category differentiation among a group of new Chinese brands have become more favored by buyer stores. For old brands with a certain scale, maintaining stability has become the key this season, while for brands still in development, expanding overseas markets has become a way to seek new opportunities.

The Analysis of A/W 24/25 Shanghai Spinexpo (Part Two)
The 41st SPINEXPO Yarn Exhibition was held in Shanghai from August 29th to 31st. This season's theme is "From Tradition to Modernity" and is divided into four sub-themes: "Memory", "Experimentation", "Mixmatching", and "Utopia". Each sub-theme introduces a variety of knitting trends. The "Memory" theme draws inspiration from small tools and toys that were the earliest means of recording and reproducing real life. The concept of recording and recreating memories has sparked new inspiration. The "Experimentation" theme seeks a better future through material experiments while also focusing on the ongoing impact of materials and products on the Earth. The "Mixmatching" theme is divided into two parts through the "mix and match ultimate dichotomy" concept, complementing each other. The combination of flat knitting and circular knitting showcases two different technological aspects in the same direction. In the world of "Utopia", the red series replaces black, incorporating unique graphic combinations and mixed patchwork. Double needles, tassels, and different levels of thickness are essential elements.
