Passionate Speed -- The Menswear Runway Analysis of MSGM
This season, Massimo Giorgetti, the creative director of MSGM, has made speed the theme of the runway and raised a series of questions: Is time faster than motorcycles? Subway, technology, do we really need that fast speed? He set up the runway at the Porta Venezia station on the Milan red subway line and paired it with fast-paced music to make a straightforward comment on the rush of life. Under the theme of speed, the brand collaborates with Franco Albini, the architect of Milan Metro Line 1, and his foundation. At the same time, MSGM, which has always been closely connected to art, collaborates with Portuguese artist Tiago Alexandre, who also focuses on the topic of speed, in this series.

Hermes juxtaposed a solid architectural structure with the lightweight texture of their collection, while KENZO connected clothing with architectural aesthetics and the relationship between individuals and the times, thus reshaping the brand's new image. By deconstructing traditional concepts and blurring gender boundaries, designers combined classic elements from the brand's history with the current popular context to create a fresh aesthetic in their clothing.

The Menswear Runway Analysis of Louis Vuitton
Love and light are key elements throughout the entire Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2024 Collection, with the sun as the focal point of the design. The sun is seen as an important source that nurtures all things, inspiring, healing, and uniting people from different cultural backgrounds and beliefs. The men's fashion show took place on the oldest bridge in Paris. Pharrell Williams continues the legacy of former design legend Virgil Abloh, infusing his own understanding of fashion trends into all products: the collision of American street style and French luxury craftsmanship, new graphic and text designs, the fusion of the classic Damier checkerboard pattern with an 8-bit pixel style to create a new camouflage, all embodying Louis Vuitton's mission to spread and pay tribute to the rich culture created by humanity.

New Classicism -- The Menswear Runway Analysis of Versace
Presented in the cobblestone courtyard of the historic Via Gesù home of the fashion house’s founder, Gianni Versace, in Milan, the Versace Spring/Summer 2023 collection was full of color and verve. Donatella Versace dug into the archives and pulled out prints her brother Gianni created for La Scala productions in the 90s, a logo from the early 2000s or the frozen-in-lava death masks of Pompeii, all of these revisited archival motifs splashed across t-shirts, silk shirts and pants, alongside stripes, diamond-shaped cut from leather made in eco-sustainable latex and powerfully colorful python prints. The latter, now replacing exotic skins, with fluorescent accents appeared on trench coats or pants. These new eco-friendly fabrics definitely marked the brand’s entry into the era of sustainability.

The Possibility Of An Island -- The Menswear Runway Analysis of MSGM
"MSGM boys are good natured boys, with not a soupçon of dark side. Or at least, they keep it well hidden under the cheerful, über-positive designs concocted by Massimo Giorgetti, an equally sunny-side-up kind of guy. " Designer said that reading Michel Houellebecq’s dystopian and rather cynical novel The Possibility Of An Island made him think about the tension between the natural and the virtual, humanity and technology. To amplify his message, the location he choose for the show was a brand new glass and cement building located in an up-and-coming industrial area of Milan.

Il Rumore del Tempo -- The Menswear Runway Analysis of MSGM
MSGM was joined by Gaetano Pesce, the renowned architect and furniture and industrial designer, this season to release its Fall 2022 menswear collection. Giorgetti was struck by Pesce's vivid visuals, which resonate with MSGM's saturated palette, and by one of Pesce's many quotes and aphorisms. "It's about Il Rumore del Tempo (The Noise of Time)," he explained at a press appointment in MSGM's new headquarters. Giorgetti's MSGM repertoire is still largely shaped by his energetic yet gentle interpretation of streetwear. Significant elements of Pesce's aesthetic were transposed into the collection. The felted quilting of his soft-shaped armchair and trompe l'oeil prints were the inspirations.

The Color Analysis of Menswear Runway丨Neutrals
Broadly speaking, neutral colors are the mixtures of red, yellow and blue in different proportions. However, in a narrow sense, neutrals colors are those colorless colors(black, white, gray) and low-saturation earthy tones. In the S/S 2022 menswear fashion weeks, Almond Buff(PANTONE 14-1116 TPG), Honey Mustard(PANTONE 17-1047 TPG), Clay(PANTONE 15-1231 TPG) and Arabian Spice(PANTONE 19-1245 TPG) were the main neutral colors. Natural Healing -- The Menswear Runway Analysis of AMBUSH
Escaping from city is an opportunity to heal, enjoy, and feel the nature, which is exactly the inspiration source of AMBUSH S/S 2022 collection. Although the collection was released before A/W 21/22, the designer Yoon Ahn added wasteland and vast free space into city and streets to create a new brand blueprint. Such freedom has brought variable ideas and also changed the way how AMBUSH treats its fashion collections. Inspired by highly functional fabrics, the new branch AMBUSH WKSP demonstrates the basic elements for people to move comfortably between city and countryside.

Canone Infinito -- The Menswear Runway Analysis of MSGM
Music is the must-have element for the creative director Massimo Giorgetti. The hypnotic and endless rhythm of this Canone Infinito(composed by the Italian DJ Lorenco Senni) enthralled him. Photographer Francesco Nazardo and the Milan-based image makers of No Text Azienda were involved in the production of the men's collection's video. Somehow replicating the circular melody on Senni's musical piece, the two-day shoot took place on a secluded beach in Maremma, a largely untouched, wild strip of land in Tuscany.

The Color Analysis of Menswear Runway (Green Series)
One out of six European people lists green as the favourite color, but there are also many people who hate green. It is a color of life, vital, opportunity and hope. However, on the other hand, complex green also represents poison, misfortune and devil. Laurel Green(PANTONE 15-6313 TPG), Forest Green(PANTONE 17-0230 TPG), Sharp Green(PANTONE 13-0535 TPG) and Fir Green(PANTONE 18-0627 TPG) are the main colors of green series on S/S 2022 menswear fashion shows. We can see that this relatively darker tone has the vibe of autumn and winter. Acid Sharp Green brings positive emotions, and common Fir Green is rather versatile.
