Physical will starts with modern sportswear which is soft, chic and ergonomic, and highlight the use of yarns and fabrics in the changing climate. Protective yarns and fabrics adapt to climate change and provide cosy products for mankind. In the 19th century, crocheting gradually became popular in Britain, America and France. It was mainly used to repair broken lace, so that the crocheted pattern was mostly flat lace. Crocheting is exposed, elastic, compact, soft and flexible. Different crocheting stitch can create different elasticity. Crocheted cutout can well integrate with clothing. It is also applied to woven fabrics like denim. But crocheting is more compatible with machine woven pieces of knitwear. In S/S 2021, crocheting will abandon the stereotype of folk style. Plain colors, melange yarns and placement crocheting are adopted to make crocheted clothing more fashionable and daily.

Inspirations are drawn from lethargic holidays. Slubbed cotton and linen fabrics bring natural comfort. Crinkled paper-like cotton and linen fabrics are plain and gentle. Hazy and thin cotton and linen are the companion of sunlight. The lightweight denim is free and casual, making the wearer enjoy the comfortable moments in holidays. In S/S 2021, cotton and linen fabrics pay more attention to textures than patterns. In terms of colors, light colors increase while dark colors decrease, which is more in line with the pleasing tones under the theme of resort.

Milano UNICA held in Shanghai Intertextile recently is an Italian fabric exhibition. Sustainable fashion becomes the hottest topic. VITALE BARBERIS CANONICO is an Italian family wool mill and the world's largest exporter of superior woolen fabrics. And it exhibits its latest achievements in sustainability: low-carbon and environmentally-friendly fabrics of H.O.P.E. series and the first sustainability report of VITALE. The houndstooth woolen overcoat under the theme of "natural colors" is made of camel hair, alpaca or Spain Moretta wool fibers. No colorants or dyestuff are used in the production, and the original color of animal hair is kept. It is in line with the opinion that natural yarns in original colors are used to make the knitwear. Therefore, the natural originality of yarns is emphasized, and noise pollution, water pollution and air pollution in wool processing is effectively reduced.

Feathers make a comeback in recent seasons. They appear on knitwear for decorative and practical effects. Colors are understated, often in the same tone as knitwear.

Melange yarns are widely used in Pre-Fall 2020. Brands mix them with ordinary yarns to create fantastic patterns. Colors also get updates in this season.
